At 4:10 in the afternoon I was checking out the work of Hilda Belcher with Becky, while Jeanne was lining spine for leather re-back.

At 6:30 in the evening I was eating dinner with Becky and Jeanne, while we just ordered dessert. 

At 3:50 in the afternoon I was about to snack on a banana, while Jeanne was notifying me of the new Dr. Martens store since I expressed my desire to own a pair of floral Dr. Martens boots the previous day.

At 9:50 in the evening I was just sitting down for dinner, while Jeanne blames me for her snack…..and watching Married to Jonas.

In 2010, Susan Collard created her smallest book to date with a wide range of materials including birch aircraft plywood, basswood, slate, various metals, mirrors, linen thread and a shell. Small Museum of Nature and Industry is a bit fatter than a perfect cube with dimensions of 2″ x 2″ x 2½”. This tiny structure opens up to a series of compartments to reveal a set of building blocks and concealed brass rods, as well as wooden and aluminum pieces. The unraveling architecture and hidden components of this book are quite surprising.

Once the materials and title were determined, Susan set out to create a book with the open-ended complexity of a miniature museum. This artist book received a Juror’s Award during the Pop-Up Now! exhibit at the 23 Sandy Gallery. 

At 3:45 in the afternoon I was engaging in part two of our nerdy day: Magic the Gathering, while Jeanne just bought a Nintendo!

At 12:45 in the afternoon I was just waiting for the train to take me to the bindery, while Jeanne exclaimed: yes, all Libraries have funny cat pictures posted in their break-rooms. 

At 5:10 in the evening I just got Bitch & Bust in the mail, while Jeanne was knockin out final projects for the year.

At 7:50 in the early morning I was trying to wake up Jason, while Jeanne came across unexpected Boston nature.
