The book unfolds to reveal a hand-drawn and letterpress printed topographical map, which interprets the world of the blind.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bound in 2010 in an edition of 50,\u00a0<em>Sayings of the Blind<\/em> is part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/23sandy.com\/works\/product-category\/curated-collections\/stafford-curated-collections\" target=\"_blank\">Stafford Collection<\/a>, a curated collection organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/23sandy.com\/works\/\" target=\"_blank\">23 Sandy Gallery<\/a>. The Stafford Collection includes any work that incorporate the poetry of William Stafford and\/or Kim Stafford.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">SAYINGS OF THE BLIND &#8212; William Stafford<br \/>\nFeeling is believing.<br \/>\nMountains don&#8217;t exist. What is the correlation between the map graphic and the text from the poem?<br \/>\n<\/strong>After many mockups, most more complicated than the final book, I realized that the topographical map is referring to the landscape of the blind.
