  2. Photographer: Ina Jang

December 5, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

Fashion photographer Ina Jang captures some wild and awkward shots for Jalouse magazine. Her portfolio seems playful with it’s candy-coated palette, yet Jang consistently removes her subjects identities through overlapping imagery.

  5. Artist: Allison Schulnik

November 29, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

Allison Schulnik paints a cast of ghoulish characters throughout her body of work, mainly noseless with sunken eye sockets. Her heavily painted canvases employ a range of depth and subtle detail. The paintings of American magic realist, Ivan Albright, came to mind when I saw Allison’s work. Both playing on the theme of macabre, blending fantastical elements with the real world.

November 22, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

I was playing Sonic the Hedgehog recently and the graphics were terribly ancient looking yet so nostalgic.  The work of Veronica Graham utilizes video game graphics to create wonderfully detail maps depicting various landscapes and territories.

November 22, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

In this ongoing series Reconfigured Grid from painter Jeff Depner, he well reconfigures the grid forming new shapes pointing your eye in every direction. Layering and pairing colors to trick the eye; his work inspires a modern twist on Bauhaus artist Josef Albers.

Number 4 on my Life List is to embroider a self portrait, so you can image my excitement when I was introduced to the work of Cayce Zavaglia!
